Support: In-car Installation tips
1. Sound
Installing Revo In-car through a direct audio input
If the vehicles audio system provides an auxiliary input, you can connect Revo directly using the RCA phono connectors provided.
Installing Revo by FM modulator
If the vehicles audio system does not offer an auxiliary input, use the FM modulator supplied with Revo. This will modulate the digital audio to an FM signal that can be heard by tuning the vehicle's FM radio to 87.7Mhz.
2. Power
Powering Revo
Connect the red and black power cables from the Revo cradle to the vehicle's switched 12V supply.
Powering FM modulator
If using the FM modulator, also connect the red and black wires to the vehicles switched power 12V supply.
3. Signal
Revo is supplied with a discreet windscreen mounted antenna.
If Revo is to be used in areas where DAB reception is marginal, an optional Revo Powered Antenna can be used.
If the vehicle uses an FM bee-sting antenna, you can replace this with Revo's panel mounted Powered FM/AM/DAB Antenna.
Please note: If you haven't had any experience in installing auto electric products, we advise you to seek advice from an experienced auto electrician before attempting an installation yourself. Revo Technologies cannot be held responsible/ liable for damages arising out of incorrect installation.
